Melinda Godfrey is a Family Nurse Practitioner/Program manager for the Center for Community Practice (CCP) with the University of Rochester Medical Center. In this role, she serves as the Program Manager for the NYS Clinical Education Initiative (CEI) Sexual Health Center of Excellence. The CEI grant provides clinical education for medical providers regarding STI, HIV, Drug User Health, and HCV.
Melinda is involved in monitoring educational requests, coordinating training/speaking engagements, collecting needs assessment data, and monthly reporting to NYS.
As a Nurse Practitioner, she also provides education and counseling for at-risk patients, as well as administering screening, treatment, and follow-up of patients being see at the STI clinic. Prior to joining the CCP team, she worked as an RN with the University of Rochester Medical Center’s Division of Gastroenterology & Hepatology. Melinda received her Master’s Degree in Family Nurse Practitioner from St. John Fisher College, and her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Rochester. She is passionate about reading and learning.
