Mary Adams is a Senior Health Project Coordinator/CBA Coordinator for the Center for Community Practice (CCP) with the University of Rochester Medical Center. In this role, she is involved in coordinating technical assistance projects for HIV prevention plans in the Northeast region health department jurisdictions, as well as leading capacity building project focused on non-clinical HIV testing and engaging people recently diagnosed with HIV.
She has been working in the field of HIV and STI prevention for over 24 years. Prior to joining the CCP team, Mary worked as an HIV Research Nurse with the University of Rochester Medical Center’s Infectious Diseases Clinic, where she coordinated numerous HIV, Hepatitis C, neurologic complications and HIV cure research protocols funded by the NIH. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and a Master’s Degree in Public Health from the University of Rochester. She is passionate about public health and is a public schools advocate, including serving on the local school board from 2012-2018.
